Everyday Heroes Results, 2021 - Service Plus Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

Giving Back to the Community & Supporting Those Who Support Us

On Tuesday, May 3, 2021, Service Plus awarded Jeremiah and his family a brand new, energy-efficient HVAC system, and a new water heater as well. WTHR’s 13INside Track news program, attended the installation to record the event and interview the winners. During the May 11 segment of the program, 13INside Track announced the winner.

Jeremiah Monroe, and his wife Jodi, are dedicated servants to their community. The couple has two children, ages 14 and 15, along with six chickens, a dog, and a rabbit.

Rebecca Monroe, Jeremiah’s mother, nominated her son for the initiative because she felt he is a deserving nominee. Before obtaining his degree in education, Jeremiah became a volunteer firefighter while in college. Since then, he has spent more than 20 years as a firefighter/EMT and now is the captain at the Noblesville Fire Department. He leads the search and rescue of the department’s ladder company.

Over the past several years, Jeremiah has also volunteered with Hoosier Burn Camp as a counselor. The nonprofit organization commits to providing life-changing experiences for young people who have suffered the physical and emotional trauma associated with a severe burn injury. Through his volunteerism at the annual camp, Jeremiah has the opportunity to work with high school teens. Additionally, he has volunteered his time as a counselor at Camp Allendale. These and other volunteer opportunities allow Jeremiah to mentor children of all backgrounds.

Jeremiah also led a group of high school students on a mission trip to Texas. During the experience, students were able to help the community by cleaning up damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. They also constructed tiny homes that served as shelters for families displaced during the hurricane.

Jeremiah’s wife, Jodi, says he is a servant leader who leads from the front. She admires his integrity and his dedication to never cutting corners.

Jodi too is on the front-line herself and is the high school principal and teacher at Legacy Christian School in Noblesville. She teaches marketing and graphic design while also volunteering as one of the school’s basketball coaches. In the past, she taught at Cathedral High School and volunteered on the Legacy Christian School Board.

At Service Plus, we’re honored to award a free HVAC system and water heater to the Monroe family for their hard work, sacrifice and dedication to uplifting communities.
